Classical and Jazz

Alan is skilled in helping his students get interested in music and custom makes a curriculum plan for each student. Once a student has gotten to an intermediate level, he begins using simple classical music and helps them excel in expression, technique, and in a usable music theory understanding. For those interested in jazz, simple standards and blues pieces are used to help the student. Scales, arpeggios, chords and other exercises are used to help all his students develop facility and ability.

Faber Piano Adventures

Alan uses a variety of method books and classical music to teach his students. He works with beginners and is skilled in helping keep music fun and gets children and older students who may otherwise have a harder time getting into music, excel and enjoy playing the piano. Alan continues working with students until he gets them to an advanced level.
