About Us

Alan Cross teaches piano in his home studio in Saratoga, CA and online. Alan was trained in classical and jazz at Concordia University, Irvine. He has served as a music director, choir accompanist, professional pop keyboardist, and as a leader in a jazz band. Alan has been teaching piano since 2007 and has had great success with helping students of all ages develop strong musical foundations, expressive ability, and a deep rooted love for music.

Alan currently serves as the worship director at Peace Lutheran Church in Santa Clara, CA, where he plays and leads weekly. Services there are blended and traditional and Alan plays hymns, contemporary music, and pre-service music and postludes. Alan also teaches out of his home studio and offers recitals in his home studio or in the community.

Alan is skilled in expression and improvisation. He shares information about music history and uses technology for younger students. Alan is skilled in teaching classical, jazz, and improvisation.
